AN INTERVIEW WITH FALK

Q: We've been lucky enough to be allowed to have a sit down and interview Falk!

Falk: Err.. Hi there.

Q: You all of course know him from the comic 'Wyyrd' as the dude with the spiky hair and emotional issues.

Falk: Hey, I don't have issues..?

Q: This strange persona...

Falk: Strange per.. say what??

Q: ...is the driving force behind the situational comedy drama that takes place, and we all get to share mostly his thoughts, dreams and fantasies.

Falk: Hey, hey, HEY! My WHAT NOW??

Q: So Falk. Glad to have you here!

Falk: My pleasure, I think... I’m a bit fuzzy on why you want to like interview me though...  And what was that about my dreams and fantas...

Q: Irrelevant! So, what we all want to know Falk, it's alright for me to call you Falk right?

Falk: Eh, yeah! Sure, sure, it's what everyone ca...

Q: Awesome! Falk. As you know, the comic 'Wyyrd' is mainly about you and your daily life,...

Falk: ...it IS? What is 'Wyyrd?' And what was that about people getting to share my fantasies??

Q: ...and through this we've all seen quite a number of ups and downs for you, haven't we?

Falk: ...you have?

Q: Oh yes, we have! We have seen it all. Your ongoing problems dealing with your feelings for Izzie, your suppressed passive-aggressive tendencies, how you sometimes sugar coat your perception of the world to make it all bearable...

Falk: He heh... Riiight, you're starting to freak me out now dude..

Q: ...and of course how you're really just this great guy trying to just get along.

Falk: ...well, YES, I AM! I AM a great guy! Why just this morning I woke up and I thought to myself "hey, I'm such a great guy! I deserve a medal for being such a great guy!" So I went into the kitchen and made myself one out of an old pizza box and some glue..

Q: Yes, cause you really are a creative person aren't you Falk?

Falk: Well, I like to think I am? I like, never really get much done or anything, but I've got many good ideas and all?

Q: Ah, yes, you do have a very active imagination! We've all seen that, as with the Santa Claus, and the Granite, Izzie's magical life-spawning cookery and the time you questioned the existence of God!

Falk: ...what, all those things happened for real! And as for the God thing, who doesn't?

Q: ...wait... even Izzie's cooking coming to life?

Falk: Oh HELL YES? Almost every time. Seriously, that girl's got some magic fingers.. on... her... (blush) ANYWAYS I enjoy her cooking! It's an experience every time!

Q: ...I bet. So now that we have you here, how would you explain your relationship with Izzie?

Falk: Errr... My relationship? Well, we're friends of course! Great friends! Known her for years! Practically grew up together. Yeah we've been through alot the two of us..

Q: But Falk, surely, don't you have deeper feelings about her than just friendship?

Falk: .... Pass, I don't.. feel comfortable answering that.

Q: You told Wire didn't you?

Falk: ...that deceitful BASTARD! What else did he tell you, huh?

Q: Technically, Wire is in the clear, he ain't told anyone.

Falk: Oh.

Q: We do however know that you're a virgin.

Falk: .......WHAT? AND WHO ARE 'WE'??

Q: Why, the readers and your fans of course.

Falk: My fans? My FANS? What the..! Who the..! Who? What? Where? When? WHY??

Q: ..you forgot 'how.'

Falk: ...this is just too bizarre...

Q: Nevermind all these things, just imagine that we know everything about you, and that people enjoy following your small adventures.

Falk: But I don't have any adventures?

Q: Imagine that you do. In any case we won't let you leave until we're satisfied, so you better just relax and act as if nothing weird was happening.

Falk: ...riiiight...

Q: So! Wire. He's quite a character ain't he?

Falk: Er.. yeah, we go way back, him, Izzie and me. Went to middle school together and stuff. It's kinda weird having him back now, cause he's been abroad alot and done loads of things.. To be honest I find it hard to relate to the guy. But then again he was always more Izzie's friend than mine.

Q: And then there's that other dynamic duo, Zola and Gard. What's your relationship with them?

Falk: That's... actually a good question. I mean, Gard is like a class mate of mine, and I dunno, I like the guy fine and all, though I don't quite know where to place him y'know? And then there's Zola, who's mostly his friend again, and she.. well... she scares the crap outta me at times, but she still seems nice, y'know? I'd like to get to know her better.

Q: Cause you're a people person.

Falk: Yeah. Yeah, I guess you're right about that.

Q: And now, your brother. Hawk. Not seen much of him around lately have we.

Falk: Oh Hawk, no, he's been busy with his, as I have with mine. We talk and all, and I try to be there for him with brotherly advice and such, y'know how it is. I really love my little brother and I only want the best for him, and he knows it. Whenever he has any problems and stuff he comes to me and I try to help him out as best I can. It's really great being someone's rolemodel.

Q: We've all noticed the smiley that you seem to wear all the time. What's the story behind that?

Falk: The smiley? Why, it's the happy shirt! I've got a few of those cause they remind me that it pays to look at things from a different perspective y'know? Let's see.. I've got maybe like three or four different ones. They're all custom printed of course, can't find these in any shop!

Q: Well, now actually we can. So, some people have been calling you "emo", what do you have to say to that? Are you fine with such social lables being put on you?

Falk: ...emo? Sure, I went through a goth phase in high school and stuff, but I sorta quit that, almost. It's a hard habit to knock, especially when it's part of your personality. I used to really like all things that were related to goth stuff, atleast the romantic stuff, like vampires, werewolves, dragons and the fashions and some of the music. But emo? Err... I guess, maybe? I don't really see myself as one, but I don't see myself as anything but myself either.

Q: You say you liked the romantic stuff, cause you're a romantic aren't you?

Falk: Err.. yeah.. I am. Dreams, hopes, wishes and all. I know it’s silly, but I always hope for a happy ending.

Q: How about you Falk? How is it to be in your shoes?

Falk: Err.. I dunno? I mean, I DO know, obviously, but it's hard to word it y'know? I guess it's not easy being me. Things have a tendency to gang up on me. 

Q: So why do you think these things keep happening to you?

Falk: Err, I guess that might be because of my outlook on life and because I project things or whatever, that's just a guess really.. I'm never really a hundred percent on these things and why and such, but yeah, it's my life and whatever happens, happens. But yeah, y'know, sometimes I get a feeling that there is someone out there calling the shots, and generally having a laugh on my expense, but that's just common paranoia, same as what everyone else gets right?

Q: Heh. You're allowed to hope..

Falk: I'm sorry wha..?
